here it is

I haven't written a post in a while just because. So here it is. I'm settled cozily in my friend Terra's apartment, spent from a run to See Canyon and back. So my wandering thoughts have had time to settle, in my bodies incapability to do. And I find happiness. Right here in this place. It is seeping out of my calloused feet and weary calves. It is felt in my pounding heart. And it is heard in the silence. This joy asks me to be still in its presence. And I know that it is filling the room around me, right up to the 12' ceilings and bursting up the stairs and out towards the kitchen as well. And maybe it was hear all along, and I just didn't happen to notice till this moment.
